Do I Stay or Do I Go? Breaking the Stereotype of Educated Non-Participation Women in Malaysia
This article explores why highly educated married women in Malaysia exit or do not enter the labour force, despite education levels equal to or higher than their husbands. Drawing on findings from the KRI–SRR survey, it highlights how structural barriers, caregiving responsibilities, and household dynamics shape women’s participation, challenging the stereotype that non-working women are not contributing to the economy or nation.

The Geoeconomics of Food Dependencies in Malaysia/Southeast Asia
This discussion paper constructs a longer historical arc (than the war in Iran) to examine Malaysia/Southeast Asia’s food dependencies within the geoeconomic rivalry of the US and China. It highlights the need for stronger local production without falling into food isolationism, supported by existing ASEAN cooperation mechanisms.
