As Malaysia works towards a more climate-resilient future, aligning development with sustainability has never been more important.

On 30 April 2026, Our Deputy Director of Research, Yin Shao Loong was one of the panelists from the Malaysia Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) that was launched in Zenith Hotel, Putrajaya. It brought together key voices from government, research, and industry to discuss the country’s climate priorities and strategies.

The event was joined by Ahmad Farid Bin Mohammed, Undersecretary of the Climate Change Division at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Surina Ismail, Chief Sustainability Officer of IOI Corporation Berhad, in a panel moderated by Datin Seri Sunita Rajakumar, Council Member of the Global Future Council on Climate and Nature Governance. Together, they shared insights on building a resilient and sustainable growth pathway for Malaysia.
