Western Imperialism & Its Implications

"Western Imperialism & Its Implications" Date: 18 June (THU) Time: 10.00 am – 01.00 pm Venue: IAIS Boardroom BACKGROUND Western imperialism has profoundly shaped the modern world through colonial expansion, economic domination, military intervention, and political influence across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. While formal colonialism has largely ended, many argue that its legacy continues through contemporary forms of geopolitical and economic power. These debates have become increasingly relevant in light of the ongoing conflict in Palestine and the recent escalation involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which some view as manifestations of enduring Western influence in the Middle East.
