Press Conference: KRI x MBOT
Bridging the gap between training and industry, can Malaysia’s talent ecosystem keep up with tomorrow’s demands?
On 30 September 2025, the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) held ENTICE 2025 at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur, a milestone event marking MBOT’s 10th anniversary and celebrating a decade of advancing Malaysia’s technology and technical community.
Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, educators, and researchers, ENTICE 2025 served as a platform to discuss the future of Malaysia’s tech talent and recognise the contributions of professional technologists and technicians nationwide.
A highlight of the event was the launch of “Badges of Progress: A Study on Technology and Technical Talent Development in Malaysia,” an MBOT–Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) collaboration. Muhammad Nazhan Kamaruzuki and Wan Amirah Wan Usamah, Research Associates at KRI, presented key findings that explored the role of professional bodies and revealed ongoing gaps between training and market demand.
The study’s insights, alongside engaging discussions and new initiatives announced during the event, reaffirm MBOT’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s talent ecosystem, ensuring Malaysia’s technologists and technicians continue to thrive in a fast-evolving global landscape
