Multisectoral Consultation Meeting on Country-Specific Assessment and Analysis of Current Food Systems in ASEAN
On 25 November 2025, our researcher, Dr Teoh Ai Ni, had the honour of serving as a panellist at the Multisectoral Consultation Meeting on Country-Specific Assessment and Analysis of Current Food Systems in ASEAN.
The panel also brought together experts from the Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM), UNICEF Malaysia and WHO for a rich dialogue on insights and opportunities to improve food security and nutrition across the region.
Dr Teoh shared how KRI plays a role in bridging evidence generation with policy making, ensuring that research insights translate into practical actions. She also stressed the need for a pragmatic shift how we view food security—beyond ensuring enough food to making healthy, nutritious options accessible, affordable, and enabled by conducive environments and systems.
